Assessments & Consultation Services
Clear answers. Personalized insight. A plan that finally makes sense.
Every child learns differently, and every family deserves to understand their child’s strengths, needs, & next steps. At ABA Today and Gateway4ABA, our assessments and consultation services are designed to give you clarity, direction, and confidence at every stage of your journey.

Whether you’re seeking a full ABA treatment plan, looking to understand a new behavior, or needing professional guidance for school or home, our team is here to help.

Comprehensive Behavioral
& Skills Assessments
Our clinicians use evidence-based assessment tools to create individualized, meaningful goals for your child. These assessments help us understand how your child communicates, learns, plays, solves problems, and navigates daily routines.

Depending on your child’s age and needs, we may use:

VB-MAPP
Evaluates language, social, and early learning skills.

AFLS
Assesses adaptive skills such as self-care, community participation, daily living, and independence.

ABLLS-R
Measures academic readiness, language, play, and daily living skills.

Essential for Living
Ideal for children needing functional communication, independence, and behavior support.

Vineland-3
Provides a developmental profile of adaptive functioning at home and school.

ADOS-2 (as needed or coordinated with outside evaluators)
Helps clarify autism-related characteristics and needs.

Our assessments are not checklist-based. They are holistic, child-centered, and informed by your family’s priorities.
Functional Behavioral Assessments
If your child is experiencing behaviors that are confusing, challenging, or impacting daily life, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts provide professional support through an FBA.

This includes:
-
Observation across settings
-
Interviews with caregivers and teachers
-
Data collection and analysis
-
Identifying why behaviors occur
-
Creating individualized behavior support plans
-
Training everyone involved on how to implement them

Our goal is never simply to “reduce a behavior,” but to teach meaningful replacement skills so your child can communicate their needs safely and effectively.

When behavior is communication, we help translate it.
Collaboration with ETC Phoenix School
During the Intake Process, ETC Phoenix School utilizes Educational Assessments alongside our own comprehensive ABA assessments to fully develop an individualized plan for both behavioral and educational needs of the child.
Families shouldn't have to choose between medically-necessary ABA services and education.
You may want an evaluation if you’re noticing:
-
new or escalating behaviors
-
difficulty in school settings
-
challenges with communication
-
struggles with transitions or routines
-
delays in social or play skills
-
concerns raised by a teacher or provider
-
uncertainty about next steps
