Parent Coaching & Family Workshops
Empowering families with tools, confidence, and support.
Because progress starts at home.
At ABA Today & Gateway4ABA, we believe deeply in the power of families. Your insight, your love, and your everyday interactions shape your child’s progress more than anything else.
Parent coaching is not about “training” you — it’s about partnering with you. You are your child's most important teacher. We help you understand your child’s learning style, behavior, communication needs, and strengths so you can support growth in natural, meaningful ways at home, school, and in the community.

What Parent Coaching Looks Like
Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) work closely with families in ways that feel:
-
collaborative
-
respectful
-
encouraging
-
practical
-
flexible
-
compassionate
Together, we develop strategies that fit your routines, values, and family culture.
Common coaching topics include:

Understanding behavior
Why it happens, what it communicates, how to respond effectively.

Communication and language
Supporting your child’s ability to express themselves — verbally or nonverbally.

Daily routines
Bedtime, mealtime, toileting, hygiene, transitions, and more.

Play and social skills
Helping your child explore, interact, and enjoy shared experiences.

Managing challenges
Meltdowns, rigidity, aggression, self-injury, or frustration.

Building independence
Teaching life skills step-by-step with warmth and consistency.

Preparing for school
Classroom routines, group expectations, flexibility, and readiness skills.

Parent coaching is woven directly into your child’s ABA program, not a separate add-on. It ensures progress doesn’t just happen in therapy, but continues at home.
Family Workshops & Community Learning
In addition to individual coaching, we offer optional workshops throughout the year on topics families often request, such as:
